The art of horsemanship

We are introducing an exciting Horsemanship Program. Each trainee will progress through different Horsemanship competency stages and will attend classes based on their level. They will need to complete certain criteria before they can progress to the next stage.

Horsemanship journey

The history of humanity is tied to the saddle of the horse. Where would we be today without the hooves and heartbeats of these beautiful creatures? 

Our horsemanship program is designed to be more than just riding. It is about building relationship and honing in on natural leadership skills. Working with a horse on the ground is as important as working with them under saddle. 

In this program, you will also develop an understanding of what it is to be a good horseman. 

You will learn how to communicate, listen to and care for horses in a safe and nurturing environment.

COURSES

Land Access

Access to the animals if you

- Have signed a waiver and liability form

- Are attending / delivering a lesson 

- Made a booking 

- Have private Agistment on the land 

- Have been authorised to come on the land by the AA Khidma team / AA Stewards

Expectations

- Only handle the horses if you have been authorised to do so. (You may pat the horses over the fence) 

- Close all gates behind you if they were originally 

closed 

- Lock sheds after use 

- Clean/ Collect any rubbish you leave behind - bins are available

Agistment

- For members and horsemanship members only. Please express your interest by clicking the link below:

1. DIY: Member: $35 per week ($150 per month per horse)

2. Feed: (Includes supplying feed) Member: $65 per week ($280 per month per horse)

3. Total Care: (Includes regular farrier services, annual dentist checkup, quarterly worming and feed) Member: $95 per week ($410 per month per horse)
